Thame-Gokyo via Renjo La in 1 day?

Just looking at the map this looks like great way to approach Gokyo from Thame IF it is doable in one day. We'll be trekking teahouse style, no tent and wonder if this can be done in 1 day or is it two day thing
Can not find any information about it in the guidebook.
any advice is welcomed

The concern is the elevation gain (well in excess of the recommend 300m limit per day). You might consider it from the other direction. From Gokyo, it is about 5 hours over Renjo Pass to the first tea house and another 2 hours or so to Thame. Take a look at some very good threads and pictures on the topic.

James- thank you for the links. I made a mistake by posting my question first and doing the search on this forum later, as if my idea was "unique" and never heard of before :)
the unfortunate thing is that both LP and Jamie McGuiness books are a bit old now and do not have info on the accommodation past Thame
