Hi,
I am planning on doing a trek from mid-December to early Jan and would like to know what kind of temperatures to expect...is it damn cold or just cold? Is 22 days enough to the Annapurma circuit?
Does anyone know how hard it is to buy roundtrip airplane tickets from Bangkok to Kathmandu while in Bangkok or if I should just buy them while here at the states?

22 days is enough for the Annpruna Circuit. Plenty in fact for you to have good rest days in the areas you fancy best. It may not be enough though if you want to do the ABC trek as well, which is absolutely fantastic. Or it may be if you do it at the end of your trek when you are well acclimatized. You may have to give up on two or three of the rest days though...
It will be cold above 3000m. Have a good downe sleeping bag, good fleece and goretex jackets, polyporpylene underwear, beanie, sunglasses, sunhat, even a downe jacket if you can afford it. It gets very cold during the night, can get to -10 celsius etc, but it warms to above 0 C during the day. Under 3000 m it is quite pleasant.
You can buy BGK - KTD tickets in Bangkok, but I would advise to buy them in your home city. It would also be a good idea to buy the more expensive ones which give you the flexibility of changing flight dates etc. I have seen quite a few people either desperate to leave Nepal (they could not hack it) or desperate to stay more and do another trek or go to Chitwan etc, who could not change de departure dates because they went for the cheapest option.

You have to go with enough warm clothes and good hiking shoes. Do not forget you have sun hat and gloves. 22 days is enough. We have group going same trekking on 14/11/2002. If you want to talk to them we can refer their address to you.
