Having been to Ghandruk 12 years ago i was dismayed at the ammount of concrete going into the village big hotel type lodges of all different colours,plastic chairs etc, are these people not killing the goose which lays the golden egg.I well remember the saying "Nepal is here to change you, not for you to change it".Seems now to be wise words of the past,i did however have a wonderful trek and of course will be back some day.
