Tony, I have trekked in the Annapurnas three times including one from Muktinath to Birethanti and the other to the ABC. Both treks were fabulous experiences. As Daniel suggested, I strongly recommend you to combine the circuit (which unfortunately I have not done yet) and the sanctuary. Bon voyage.

If your going to do the Annapurna Circuit invest alot of time in and around the Manang valley. It is still a special place and there is much to see.

having crossed over Thorong La into even more touristy parts of the Kali Gandaki, I always miss the old Marsyangdi.
