Yes it definitely is - Jamie McGuinness's trek agency 'Project Himalaya' are running one this Autumn.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually thinking of going alone with guide and porter.Saw api from my adi kailash trek i did last year in eastern kumaon, and been attracted to it since not touristic yet.I prefer not using organized treks, might go to the area and enquire myself and take it from there.

Fair enough.

I have seen pictures of the peak and it does look amazing up close, I am sure you could hire guide and porter in KTM or even in the Humla district and go from there.

I was interested to see that that trekking company was taking organized trips to the area.

Thanks Kegarne, will try to look for guides and portes in ktm or in the humla district, my dream is to enter via eastern kumaon but i suppose i need to go to ktm for permits.Last time i went to nepal was in 2000 so i must refresh a bit with the current regulations.Noticed you like chess, you never know, maybe we meet and we can have a game.

Sure one day though i don't know when I'll next get back to the Himalaya :(

So you are talking about getting there through India ?? That wld be a very interesting way to go and quite a wilderness trek !
