staying in touch?

I plan to be trekking for the month of November, probably around Annapurna, but maybe Everest area. How do I stay in touch with the folks back home (get through to them and hear from them)? Thanks

You can phone home from most of larger villages and towns around Annapurna (like Marpha or Jomsom). There is an internet cafe in Jomsom, but it works only for a couple of hours in the evening, so telephone is the best.
