I read your message on trekinfo. you are asking about the Annapurna region sitution, I just got last tuesday from annapurna region with germany couple, in this area still safe and you do not have to worry on the mountains region, I have been working in this Trekking field since 1984

Is it not time mr lal you stopped using this site as a place for business...you already know there is a seperate page for adverts and i am sure one of the reasons people are not using this site any longer is because of people like you.Your information is not always helpful and is geared anyway only to your own needs and therefor biased.
Jason there have beed a number of bombs at least four in Kathmandu over the past week resulting in at least one death.. none of these have been in tourist areas...the Annapurna region remains O.K. to travel to but there have also been incidents on these routes in the last year, however no tourists have been affected.
It is quite possible with elections planned for November 13 more outbreaks of violence will occur throughout Nepal but also(if the past is to be considered)it is likely tourists will not be affected by this.Tourists to date have on a few occassions been stopped by the Maoists (normally when travelling in organised groups for money)... to date there has been no violence. Hope this is a little more informative and feel good about your intended time here.

Happy trekking

Nick.
