Is Annapurna Safe

I am hoping to trek the Annapurna circuit in October and was wondering if anyone had any information on safety in that area with the Maoists.
Can anyone suggest a nice place to stay in Katmandu and the best way to organise such a trek.

It is completly safe for tourist in trekking area includding Annapurna.
Hotel In Kathmandu you can find many varietes.
And For the trekking you can hire a guide or you can do packase trip with independent trekking guide or an organization.
If you want to hire guide please check his/her realiability & if you are going with an organization be sure if there is much corruption to there staff.Many trekking company provide less than munimum for the staff & for your food too.
