How much money to take on trek?

We are doing the 11 day trek to ABC in October. Can anyone suggest how much money we should take with us?
Also, what would be a fair tip for the guide and porter?

Mijke is right, 1000 Rp. is definetely sufficient. I guess I carried around 2000 per day which was way too much (spent around 500-700 I guess). But its always good to have a reserve and in my case I borrowed sth to a friend ... and got it back ;-)

1 USD is 70-75 NRP

Look at what you spend in KTM. On the trek you will probably spend less per day. I did the Annapurna Circuit in 1999 and there was just no way to spend that much money. I dont really fancy chocolate bars and prefered Chang and Mustang Coffee to carried up beer.

For the ABC trek I have one group for 10th oct-18th oct,2002.If you wanna to join you can.The trip is packase trip include,lodging ,fooding,permit(ACAPIntrance fee)all ground transportation ect. It will cost 25US$ per day per person.
And if you want to hire guide only that will cost 10USD for guide,10 for you food & lodging,& other the ACAP intrance fee 2000Nrs.At this moment I canarrange.
